"Can't Complete the Low Round?
"Improve Your Golf Mental Toughness"
Every golfer has heard the saying "It's all in your head" or "Golf is 90% mental" or "Golf is the most mentally demanding sport in the world." Yet what do golfers do about it? Well, most often absolutley nothing! Not necessarily because they don't want to, but sometimes golfers actually think the mental game doesn't matter to them!
Click Here to Unlock Your Mind and Shoot Better Golf
EVERY golfer can benefit from increasing their mental toughness and harnessing the full power of thier mind!
Many golfers naively get stuck into thinking that the mental game only matters for elite players or pros who make a living golfing. Nonsense! EVERY golfer needs to use their mind properly.
-
It is your mind that determines how well you learn when taking lessons. (and this training course is packed with accelerated learning techniques that will have you absorbing more from lessons)
-
It is your mind that will allow you to set up to the ball correctly and commit to your swing (or not!).
-
It is your mind that will either stay focused under pressure and get you to make a smooth, fluid stroke when you need to drain an 8 footer for the win, or have you choking like a dog and collapsing like a house of cards when the heat is on!
Click Here to Unlock Your Mind and Shoot Better Golf
"When you have a chance to shoot the lowest score of your life, you won't choke - You Will Go Low!"

QUICK PLAYOFFS ON GOLFWEEK TOUR
Southern Pines, NC
September 20, 2014
Both the Championship Flight and A Flight competition in Golfweek Amateur Golf Tour played at Hyland Resort and required a playoff to determine a winner.
Sanford's Craig Sturdivant emerged as the Championship Flight winner over Justin Smith of Fayetteville after just one hole of sudden-death with a par on their 19th hole of the day. Both turned in 73s during the event itself.
Hyland Flight Winners (L to R): CH Flight - Craig Sturdivant; B Flight - James Bagwell
The A Flight results were identical to those of the Championship flight, as it only took one hole for Raleigh's Matt Ellerman to grab the victory over Durham's Matt Genaway with a simple par on the first extra hole. Both players were only 2 strokes off the winning scores in the Championship on their original 18 hole efforts with 75s.
Hyland Winners (L to R) A Flight - Matt Ellerman; C Flight - John Clark
The B and C Flight winners posted indentical 1 stroke wins over their nearest competitors. James Bagwell shot a 79 to finish 1-up on Raleigh's Richard McMinis for the B Flight crown, while Spring Lake's John Clark posted an 81 to nip Raleigh's Rob Bulgarino for the top spot in the C Flight. "I finally put 2 nine-holes back to back on Tour", stated Clark.
Hyland Golf Club Winner: D Flight - Bernard Brodnax
Fayetteville's Bernard Broadnax had a relative "run-away" win in the D Flight with a 90 and a 4-shot margin over two Tour members: Greg Dauscher and Chase Groom, both from Raleigh. "This is Bernard's first year 'on-Tour' " stated Tour Director Bruce Hallenbeck, "and he's a factor in the D Flight every time he tee's it up".
The Tour will hold it's final regular season event next Saturday - a 2-day Local Finals at Bryan Park near Greensboro. It will be last tournament prior to the National Finals in Hilton Head next month. The "Nationals" will draw over 800 Tour members from the 42 Golfweek Tours around the country.

Rules Review
It has been suggested that there should be a series of Rules scenarios for you to solve. So begins a series of problems titled What's the Score?
Doc Miller has graciously agreed to allow me to share these with you that he has been sending since July 2009.
I will include one each week. You should try to determine the answer based upon your knowledge of the Rules when ever possible and then use your Rule book to confirm.
There will be no trick questions or hidden information.

Question from week #268
The team of Mary and Nancy are playing a four-ball match against Olive and Patti. All four players are on the putting green in two strokes, Mary is away.
Mary putts her ball too hard and it rolls by the hole by about eight feet, coming up a few feet short of and on nearly the same line as her partner Nancy’s ball mark. Olive and Patti both lie closer to the hole than does Nancy, so it is Nancy’s turn to putt next. She states that since she is away, she wants Mary to go ahead and putt first.
Recognizing Nancy wants to get a read from Mary’s putt, Olive and Patti quickly decide to concede Mary’s putt for a four. Mary walks up to her ball and quickly putts it towards the hole despite the fact it had just been conceded. It comes to rest about two inches beside the hole and she lifts the ball. Nancy putts next and makes her putt for a three, then both Olive and Patti putt and miss. Walking off the green, Olive and Patti protest the outcome of the hole based upon the fact they had conceded Mary’s putt and had expected her to lift her ball and not to give her partner a read.
How should the Committee rule?
A. Olive and Patti both made four, Mary made four and Nancy made three to win the hole.
B. Olive and Patti both made four, Mary made five and Nancy made five to lose the hole.
C. Olive and Patti won the hole as the side of Mary and Nancy were disqualified for the hole.
D. The hole is halved.
Answer
D. The hole is halved with 4s.
This situation involves several layers. To begin with, the Rule 2-4 does not prohibit a player from putting after their next stroke is conceded. So the player would not be penalized for doing so. However, Decision 2-4/6 does address this for four-ball or best ball match play. If the act of putting after a concession would be of assistance the player’s partner, then in Equity (R1-4), the partner only would be DQed for the hole. Thus when Mary putted her ball after the concession, because it assisted Nancy, Nancy would be DQed for this hole. Thus Mary’s conceded four represents her side.
Some of you may conclude that neither Olive nor Patti actually completed play of the hole, so did they have a valid score? The answer is yes. For both Olive and Patti, their second putts were conceded by the facts at the time. When Nancy made her putt for three, the best either Olive or Patti could do would be to tie. Recording a four for both Olive and Patti was never in dispute.

Tour Weather Guidelines:
Primarily, we adhere to the same guidelines that the PGA Tour uses: If the course is open, we're going to play.
The only exception to this is that I'll never put any of you in harm's way during an event because of dangerous weather. (i.e. - lightening or severe cold and wetness).
In other words, I won't let the course "bully" us into playing where an unsafe condition might exist.
Because I arrive at every event at least two hours prior to the start time and I generally have to leave my house at least an hour before that to get to the course, there is no sense calling me just before the event, because I won't be at the office. The best avenue to take is to call the course if the weather seems threatening.
If you are on the roster for the event, and you do not get a cancellation notice from the course after calling them, you are expected to show up in time for the scheduled shotgun start.
