Guys: Please take note: This Saturday's event scheduled for Hyland GC in Southern Pines has been cancelled. Due to circumstances beyond their control (the local power company left them without pumps for a 21-day period) - they have lost a good deal of their fairways, tees, and to a certain extent, their greens. The current conditions are not up to the standards you have come to expect, and we strive to provide, for Tour venues. Rather than play and present their course in less than perfect condition, after discussions with the course itself, we have decided to cancel the event entirely. (Note: this is a really fun course to play and they should be excellent shape within the next few weeks - give 'em a shot if you're looking for a place to play later). You will have some options for Tour play this weekend anyway, I have spoken to 2 Tour Directors to get some openings for you Saturday if you're willing to travel a bit: For those of you in the Raleigh area, the Down East Tour is playing Bear Trail in Jacksonville, NC. They have a 10:30 STRAIGHT TEE TIME start, and have limited spots available. You would need to contact their Tour Director, Scott Veilleux at 252-531-2953 to grab a spot and get your exact tee time. If you are a Championship Flight member, please call or email me first. For all 3 Tours - The Charlotte Tour is playing The Warrior, just past Salisbury, in China Grove. 1:30 shotgun.
