"Improve your golf mental toughness 10-fold"
Every golfer has heard the saying "It's all in your head" or "Golf is 90% mental" or "Golf is the most mentally demanding sport in the world." Yet what do golfers do about it? Well, most often absolutley nothing! Not necessarily because they don't want to, but sometimes golfers actually think the mental game doesn't matter to them!
Click Here to Unlock Your Mind and Shoot Better Golf
EVERY golfer can benefit from increasing their mental toughness and harnessing the full power of thier mind!
Many golfers naively get stuck into thinking that the mental game only matters for elite players or pros who make a living golfing. Nonsense! EVERY golfer needs to use their mind properly.
-
It is your mind that determines how well you learn when taking lessons. (and this training course is packed with accelerated learning techniques that will have you absorbing more from lessons)
-
It is your mind that will allow you to set up to the ball correctly and commit to your swing (or not!).
-
It is your mind that will either stay focused under pressure and get you to make a smooth, fluid stroke when you need to drain an 8 footer for the win, or have you choking like a dog and collapsing like a house of cards when the heat is on!
Click Here to Unlock Your Mind and Shoot Better Golf
"When you have a chance to shoot the lowest score of your life you won't choke - You Will Go Low!"

PLAYOFFS, "RING-RUST" SHOW IN GOLFWEEK TOUR EVENT
Bermuda Run, NC
March 1, 2014
After having three potential event dates knocked out by unseasonable weather conditions already this year, the Triad and Raleigh/Pinehurst Divisions of the Golfweek Amateur Tour finally got their season rolling at Bermuda Run West Country Club. Even though conditions were suitable for play, temperatures still hovered near freezing at the outset of the shotgun start. While some respectable scores were turned in despite the chill factor, overall scoring was modest, probably due in part to the lack of available warm weather practice time recently.
For two of the 5 Flights contested it took extra holes to determine a winner. In both of those flights the eventual Champion benefited from the generosity of their opponents.
Brian Sepich of Greensboro was joined by Charlotte's David Schmidt and Fayetteville's Larry Hardee in the Championship Flight sudden death shoot-out after all three posted regulation 73s on the par 70 tract. Sepich was conceded a birdie putt to win the match after both playing partners hit their tee shots out-of-bounds on the 1st extra hole.
Raleigh's Matt Pridgen took advantage of a similar situation in the B Flight playoff in his very first Golfweek Tour event as Pinehurst's Tom Kubla took a 3-putt double bogey on his 1st extra hole which allowed Pridgen to claim victory with a 5 on the par-4 1st hole. Both players shot 82 during regulation play.
Joining Pridgen as first time winners "on-Tour" were Atlanta's Wayne Barfield in the C Flight and Fayetteville's Bernard Broadnax in the D Flight. They shot 89 and 92 respectively. Laurenburg's Robin Neverve, a 10-year Tour veteran, shot an 81 - two shots clear of a group of four tour members who posted 83s to emerge victorious in the A Flight.
The Golfweek Tour will tee it up again next Saturday, March 8 at Bryan Park on the Players Course. Openings are available for that event by calling Tour Director Bruce Hallenbeck at 336-495-6556.

Rules Review
It has been suggested that there should be a series of Rules scenarios for you to solve. So begins a series of problems titled What's the Score?
Doc Miller has graciously agreed to allow me to share these with you that he has been sending since July 2009.
I will include one each week. You should try to determine the answer based upon your knowledge of the Rules when ever possible and then use your Rule book to confirm.
There will be no trick questions or hidden information.
|
Question from week #240
Decide True or False for the following:
1. My ball lies in the fairway and there is a ladybug on my ball. I may touch the ladybug with my finger to remove her from my ball.
2. My ball lies in a fairway bunker and there is a ladybug on my ball. I may touch the ladybug with my finger to remove her from my ball.
3. My ball lies on the putting green and there is a ladybug on my ball. In the process of waving my hat to remove the ladybug, I accidentally move my ball. I am penalized one stroke and must replace the ball.
4. My ball lies on the fringe and there is a cloverleaf stuck on the back of my ball. I may use a tee to remove the leaf.
Answers:
1. True – The Rules do not specify how a player may remove an insect from their ball. Therefore most any method is permitted: blowing, using a tee or even a finger. However, the player is responsible for not moving the ball in the process. R18-2a specifically states the player is not to purposely touch the ball. So if you plan on using your finger or tee, be very careful not to touch the ball in the process. This is why you see most pros blow or wave a had to get a bug off their ball. See Definition: Loose Impediment and R23-1.
2. False –Yes the lady bug is a loose impediment, but with our ball in a hazard, we are prohibited from touching any loose impediments. Unlike a leaf, the insect is perfectly capable of leaving under her own will, so the player is not prohibited from employing some other method to get her to “bug off” like waiving hand, hat, towel.
See Decision 23-1/5 for more detail on the first two questions.
3. False. There is no penalty. Read R23-1. On the putting green, even if the ball is not marked, the player is not penalized if the ball moves as a direct result of removing a loose impediment. The only requirement is to replace the ball.
4. False – anything that is adhering or “stuck” on the ball is not deemed a loose impediment (see Definition: Loose Impediment). Things like grass clippings or even small leaves may stick to a ball in wet or damp, dewy conditions. We should expect such things to happen and deal with them accordingly. If the player were to remove the item it is a 1-stroke penalty for cleaning the ball other than when permitted by R21.

Tour Weather Guidelines:
Primarily, we adhere to the same guidelines that the PGA Tour uses: If the course is open, we're going to play.
The only exception to this is that I'll never put any of you in harm's way during an event because of dangerous weather. (i.e. - lightening or severe cold and wetness).
In other words, I won't let the course "bully" us into playing where an unsafe condition might exist.
Because I arrive at every event at least two hours prior to the start time and I generally have to leave my house at least an hour before that to get to the course, there is no sense calling me just before the event, because I won't be at the office. The best avenue to take is to call the course if the weather seems threatening.
If you are on the roster for the event, and you do not get a cancellation notice from the course after calling them, you are expected to show up in time for the scheduled shotgun start.
