The 2020 Charlotte Season is in fine shape as we continue our sell outs on some great courses in the Charlotte area.  On Monday, March 9th, the Ballantyne CC hosted 115 golfers from 6 local tours from around the country. 

In the Championship Flight, Jay Barnes claims his first victory in the 2020 season.  After finishing runner up at the last event, Jay took over on the back nine and pulled away from the field winning by 7 with a score of 2 under par 70.  Kyle Garcia and Randy Dockins tied for second at 77 (+5) with Garcia winning the scorecard playoff.  Rounding out the top 4 was Wally Love with a score of 78.

In the A Flight, Matt Wiley (Michigan East) and Stefano Smith went back to the course after both players shot 78 (+6).  It only took one hole and a par for Wiley to claim the victory.  Trip Shelton (Central Carolina) was third with a score of 79 (+7) and then 5 players tied for fourth with a score of 80 (+8).  After going back to the scorecards, Charles Devenney takes 4th and Scott Ilowite take 5th.

In the B Flight, Lewis Davis (Upstate) wins by 1 with a score of 83 (+11).  Chuck Snider takes second with and 84 (+12). 3 players tied for 3rd place all shooting 86 (+14).  When we reviewed the scorecards, Colby Shull takes third, Chris Beeman takes 4th and John Torres take 5th.

In the C Flight, Brandon Halsey claims a 1 shot victory with a score of 84 (+12).  Glenn Sammons (Augusta) takes second after winning a scorecard playoff with Raymond Hoerr and Randall Garver takes 4th with a score of 86 (+14).

In the D Flight, Danny Sullivan (Upstate) takes home the first-place honors with a score of 93 (+21).  The margin of victory was only one shot over 2 golfers.  Justin Keaton (Kentucky) takes second after beating Chris Becks in a scorecard playoff after both players shot 94 (+22).
