Championship Flight:
David Schmidt won for the first time all season with
a one under par round of 70. Three
players all finished at 74 with Billy Hall grabbing second, Jim Aughtry third
and Joe Jaspers fourth on the card playoffs. The Charlotte tour boast probably the best
Champ Flight group in the country always dominating in the Tour Championship
but on Saturday in Nashville Joe Jaspers 64 eight under par record went down as
Phillip Lee from the Nashville tour carded a nine under par round of 63. The round included a mind boggling 11 birdies
against 2 bogies.
A Flight:
With one card left to post we had a 7 way playoff
for first place at 79. With the epic
playoff ready to begin Phil Gregorich posted the best round ever on tour and
claimed victory with 73. The playoff at
79 found Daren Hefner in second, Dave Randazzo third and Jason Long in fourth
place.
B Flight:
Vic Lawrence wins for the first time this year
backing up his first ever point’s champions’ title after 19 years on tour. Vic posted a great round of 82 good enough
for a three shot victory. Cooper Daniel
beat out Clif Morgan on the card for second place with both players firing 85’s. Guy Roberts cashed for the first time this
year in fourth with 86.
C Flight:
John Torres playing in his first event of the season
came out smoking with a winning score of 86.
Jai Patel again grabbed second place again firing 90 for back to back
tournaments. Old tour Vets Larry Hinson and Steve Daniels tied at 91 but Hinson
grabbed third place money on the card.
D Flight:
Matt Henson won for the first time ever one tour
posting a four shot victory score of 94.
Jay Tinch finished in third at 98, Bob Beatty was third with 99 and
Mason Hagen was 4th at 100.
