The Richmond Golfweek Amateur Tour took to Hunting Hawk Golf Club in Glen Allen, VA for the Oakwood Open Championship. The tournament brought some wonderful conditions, with a very nice weather day in the mid 70’s. With a field of 82 players on the course for the annual Oakwood Open Championship. Congrats to all the Flight winners and Day Money winners.

In the Championship Flight, Derek Lee, Richmond (72) won by ten shots over Thomas Sutterfield, Tidewater (82). Lee played a top notch even par tournament to earn his first tournament victory in 2025. Rounding out the Top-3 was, Terrance Bordley, Tidewater (85).

In the A Flight, Andrew Haines, Tidewater (75) won by two shots over Bradley Taylor, Richmond (77). Haines also won multiple Flight & Super Skins for a terrific day on the course. Coming in third was DJ Engler, Richmond (80). Rounding out the Top-4 was Marvin Bishop, Richmond (82).

In the B Flight, Jason Hasty, Richmond (82) won in a Sudden Death Playoff over Ryan Craig, Richmond (82). Coming in third was Todd Lorenz,Tidewater (83). Rounding out the Top-4 was Stephen Abernathy, Richmond (84).

In the C Flight, Tom Fitzsimmons, Tidewater (83) won by two shots over Shaquille Yarbrough, Richmond (85). Coming in third was Roger Claytor, Richmond (87). Rounding out the Top-5 was Omar Delgado, Richmond (88), Tim Andrews, Richmond (90).

In the D Flight, Jim O’Neill, Tidewater (84) won by seven shots over Bruce James, Richmond (91). Coming in third was Forest Maitland, Richmond (94). Rounding out the Top-4 was Eric Davis, Richmond (95).
