Andrew Shiflet won for the first time this season but had to play 19 holes to do it. Andrew and Joe Jaspers both shot even par 72's Saturday with Shiflet winning on the first hole of sudden-death. Finshing 5 shot's back Rick Tomei, Jim Aughtry, Scott Miller and Anthony White all shot 77's. Tomei took third place on the card and Aughtry cashed a fourth place. According to everyone who played with Greg Ries Saturday he could have gotten up and down from out of a trash can. Greg's great scrambling ability gave him his 3rd win of the season in A Flight with a 76. Greg's great proformance in A flight has given him a promotion to Champ Flight a challenge Greg is looking forward to. Finishing in second place, and now your new points leader. Steve French fired an 81 on Saturday and beat out Mike Harter on the card for second place. Mark Gregory, Tommy Megremis and Steve Williams all shot 82's with Gregory winning the scorecard playoff for 4th place. Scott Ide shot 79 Saturday to grab first place in the B Flight Saturday. Scott's consistant play all season also got him a promotion to the A flight for the rest of the season, good luck Scott. Finishing just one shot behind Ide was Mike Nasekos in second place and Jimmy Chapman in third. Both players fired 80's at Birkdale on Saturday. Cashing for the first time this year Charles Pate beat out Roy Santonil for fourth place win an 82. C flight also saw another first time winner with Jeff Gastineau finishing at 89. Jeff eaked out 3 other player's by only one shot for his victory. John Morris, Richard Marazza and Todd Mullis all finshed with 90's. Morris got second on the card, Marazza third and Mullis fourth place with his birdie on 18. The Lance 2 man team event is right around the corner (July 12-13) at Olde Sycamore Plantation.
