Jay Barnes, Dennis Reames, Allen Hagen, Mike Mirgeaux & Brian Keith all win at Edgewater!
Championship Flight:
Jay Barnes and the Upstate member Jody Clary both
tied at 76 and went into the first sudden-death playoff of the 2016
season. Both players tied on 18 then
went onto hole #10 where Jay Barnes captured his first victory of the season. Mike Gentry finished solo third and Steve
French, Jobe Dyson and Dennis McCormac all tied at 82. On the card playoff Steve French took home
fourth place money.
A Flight:
Dennis Reames continues his hot start, this time with
a blistering round of 73 for a four shot victory. Tim Burton was second at 78 followed by four player’s with 78. Judd Dye captured third place and
Columbus member Ryan Layne was 4th leaving Tom Chambers and newcomer
John Ervin in fifth.
B Flight:
Allen Hagen gets back into the winners circle with a one shot victory over 3 other players with 83. Duane Fisher was second followed by Nathan
Arnold third and John Rinaldi fourth as all players posted 84.
C Flight:
Mike Mirgeaux played the round of his life posting a
career tour low 79. Curtis Bass at 90
beat out Dustin Chamblee for second place on the card. Rondal Gibson and John Page both fired 91’s
but it was newcomer Gibson cashing 4th on the card.
D Flight:
Brian Keith wins his first ever tourney with 91
followed by Toby Strickland at 96. Jimmy
Mathis, Vince Johnson and Nick Leone all tied with 101. Mathis grabbed third and Johnson fourth on
the card.
Congrat’s to all the big skins game winners as over
$3300 was up for grabs Saturday.
