Isle of Palm, S.C. - Dominic Lizzarga of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. made three birdies and shot an 83 to nip Mark Ducker by a stroke in the Championship Flight at the Feb. 21 Wild Dunes Resort tournament. Decker finished with an 84 on the par-70 Harbor Course while Jack Gause shot an 85 to finish third. “A” Flight Jonathan Rittenhouse of Charleston shot an 84 to knock off Rich McNamara in the “A” Flight. McNamara shot an 87, while Biff Huff was third with a 91. “B” Flight David Hoffman’s 79 led him to first place in the “B” Flight. Hoffman, of Summersville, S.C. topped Tony Capeheart and Casey Collier who finished second and third repsectively with matching 80s. “C” Flight Robert Hunter of Mountville, S.C. won the “C” flight handily, shooting a 79 and besting second place Jerry Young by 10 strokes. Bake Hagwood finished third. “D” Tommy Bryant shot an 83 to outpace his competition by 11 strokes in the “D” flight. Bryant, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., finished ahead of Bill Simmons and Michael Miller.
