The Charleston group attacked Shadow Moss for their 3rd major of the year. Matt McInnis ran away from the field in the Championship flight by posting an uncontested 84. Since he played from the tips he competed against the A flight guys for the prize pool.
The A flight guys stepped up their game for this major. Jace Gause who seems to always play well at Shadow Moss posted a blistering round of 76 to take top honors in the A flight while Mark Ducker used three birdies to help him card a very nice 79 to edge Tony Capehart by a shot.
The B flight saw two of the hottest guys on tour compete down to the wire as James Ravenel fired an 80 to secure a 1 shot victory over Jerry Mast.
In the C flight, David Mays seemed to regain his stroke with a very solid round of 86 to take top honors over Erik Eadie. David always seems to step up in the big events!
The D flight saw another very close competition as Dennis Harris eeked out a one shot victory over Steve Hartoin. Dennis fired a 93 to Steve's 94 but in the end I think Steve is the Big Winner as he and his wife just had a Baby Girl on Thursday prior to the tournament.
Congratulation's to all the winners and to Steve.
our next event is at Santee National June 2nd @ 8:28AM
