The greens proved to be a challenge at one of the Charleston Golf Week
Amateur tours favorite courses.
The Champ flight had a little trouble keeping
it in play and through a battle of attrition it was Jeff Emory left standing on
top while shooting a hard fought 80 to out-distance Ohio transplant Stephen
Kauble who posted an 82.
The A flight saw
some steady play as Biff Huff showed why he is one to contend with in the A
flight this year by posting a very nice round of 78. He posted a one shot
victory over tour veteran Tony Capehart
who may have played his last event. Tony is transferring to Hawaii and no-one
feels sorry for him!!.
The B flight saw the hot shooting Jason Dores register his third straight victory by
firing a 78 to out pace Joe Turners 84.
The C flight saw steady shooting Erik
Eadie post a nice round of 89 for 5 shot victory over Randy Gillum.
In the D flight, tour veteran Dennis Harris continued
his stellar play by posting a 94 for a 3 shot victory over John Wilson.
Our
next event is a combo event with the Augusta tour at Penny Branch on April 6th.
