Championship Flight:
Wes Fennel has been knocking at the door all season with
three second place finishes. Yesterday
at Wexford final gave Fennel his first victory of the 2022 season but he did so
in sudden-death. After the regulation eighteen
holes both Wes Fennel and Jeff Wong were tied at 76. The sudden-death playoff went back to the
eighteenth hole were fennel made a clutch 15 footer for birdie and the victory. T.A. Fulmer (Charleston) took home solo third
at 79 followed by Chris Legare & Randy Sparks with 82.
A Flight:
Cooper Cram wins by seven shots with 76. Radek Klauda was solo second with 83 and last
week’s winner Scott Edwards finished third at 84. Beth Hunt (Myrtle Beach) and John Dobbins
both tied fourth with 85.
B Flight:
Jon Lyles wins for the second tournament in a row with a
nice solid round of 78. The score moved
Jon’s index now into the A flight for the next tournament. Tim Parker (Augusta) was second with 83
followed by Scott Ammons at 86. Sam
Lewis and Paul Sherry tied fourth with 88’s.
C Flight:
Joshua Kirkley wins with the help of an ace at the par three
6th hole. Kirkley fired an 83
for the victory followed by Ray Clark at 93. Terry Lawson tour director from South Florida finished solo third with
97 and Tony James (Augusta) rounded out the top four spots with 102.
D Flight:
Joe Peny wins in sudden-death playoff over Al Smith with a
par on the first playoff hole. Both
players fired 97 followed by Aaron Masterson at 99 and John Greider
(Charleston) with 103
