The Hilton Head-Savannah Tour made their way back onto Hilton Head Island to play the famed Oyster Reef GC. Oyster Reef is known for its tight fairways and scenic views. The course was in great shape and the sun was shining bright as the players took on the tough course.
In the Championship Flight, David Politi fired the low score of the day with a 77 to take first place honors. Chris Burnett shot an 83 to take second place.
The "A" Flight was won by returning player, John Cabiness. John shot a very nice 80 to claim the first place trophy. Veteran Mike Peters shot an 83 to finish in second place.
The "B’ flight was the largest field of the tournament with some great competition. At the end of the day, Taron Mckowen shot a low 79 to claim the first place trophy. Very consistent Pat Helm came in with an 82 to finish in second place.
In the "C" Flight, Jess Haynes used consistent play to fire an 85 and claim first place. Finishing in second was Art Dart. Art was visiting us from the Michigan Tour. He shot a 91.
In the "D" Flight, first time player Kevin DeBold shot a great round of 93 to capture first place. He was followed closely by William Henry who fired a 95 for second place.
Our next tournament on the Hilton Head-Savannah Tour is May 21 at the Palmetto Hall (Arthur Hills) Course. This is a very demanding but gorgeous golf course.
