Will Oliver, Joe Combs, Boyd Laughlin, Roberts Vaux and Tom Wendell all win at Savannah Quarters.
Champ Flight:
Newcomer Will Oliver and Kyle Patterson tied wth even par
rounds of 72, thanks to Patterson’s great birdie on the 18th
hole. In the sudden-death playoff both
players had birdie putts but it was Oliver converting for his very first tour
victory. Jammie Manning was solo third
one shot back at 73 which included a hole out eagle on number eight. Joe Brynat and Jeff Wong finished tied fourth
at 76.
A Flight:
Joe Combs played his best round ever on tour to win by six
shots at 74. Greg Waltman cashed for the
first time this season with 80 followed by Rod Allgire at 84 and Justin
Beasley, Joe McVey and Eric Maland all at 85.
B Flight:
Boyd Laughlin won last year here and did so again this year
on the final hole. Laughlin fired an 82
to edge out Jordan Given and Paul Sherry by one shot as both players fired 83’s. Mark Osborne was fourth at 84 followed by Ken
Theriault with 85.
C Flight:
Roberts Vaux wins for the second time this season this time
with 81 followed by Ray Clark at 84.
Matt Nemes shot 85 for third and Travis Carlisle and Ed Cassady shot 89
tying for fourth.
D Flight:
Tom Wendell wins again this time by three shots at 94. Paul Baker was second at 97 and Aaron
Masterson third with 100.
