The Golf Fitting Studios Championship at Westfields Golf
Club was a success even before the first group teed off—it was a sellout even with
the addition of three tee times! It
also helped that the weather cooperated, especially since forecasts early in the
week called for rain. The nice weather and full field complemented the golf
course and helped make a great event.
Adam Arnett won the
Championship flight with a score of 80.
Adam is a member of the Columbus tour and this was his first event. Eric Fryatt, Dominic Lee and Jerry Resh
tied for second place with a score of 81.
The A flight provided the most drama for the day with Jack Sheehan winning his second
tournament of the year after a playoff victory over TZ Jia. Both finished with an 82. Keith Gibert
finished in third place with a score of 83. Keith also walked away with the lion’s share of skins and
two closest to the pins.
In the B Flight, Steve
D’Ambrosio won his first tournament of the year with an 8 stroke victory
over Kal Guraya. Billy
Lackey a second year member of the Tour finished in third place. Meanwhile,
the C flight had twenty participants competing for the championship. Chris
Crawford took first place with a score of 87. Nick Gerstner (playing
in his first tournament) finished in second place only one stroke behind
Crawford while Rafiq Rashid finished
in third with a score of 89.Rounding out the field was John
Moriarty’s win in the D flight with a score of 93. In second place and six strokes back
