The DC Metro Golfweek Amateur Tour blew into Chantilly’s Pleasant Valley Golf Course on Sunday.  The sun was shining and the wind was blowing, but as Co-Director Dan Pastorek said, “it was better than cold and rainy!” Championship Flight new member, Crews Miller, posted an 87 for his first win.

Rex Close claimed his second win in as many tournaments with a score of 82.  Three shots back and in second place, was Jonathan James. Patrick Brooke and David Pongrace both shot 86 and tied for third.  Russel Cook won the B Flight by six strokes over second place finisher, Dave Hutchinson (Cook fired an 82, while Hutchinson shot 88).  Tanaka Dube finished in the money for the second week when he scored 89 and took third place while Thomas Hamilton was fourth with 90.

The C Flight winner was Dorinda Pastorek.  Dorinda shot 92 while Bala Perumbala finished in second place for the second straight tournament with a score of 94. Nelson Fox finished in third with a 95. Jim Forbes joins Rex Close as a two-time winner as he shot 96 and bested Darryl Guinyard and Greg Wentzel by two strokes.

The next tournament is on April 20^th at Whiskey Creek Golf Club.  Whiskey Creek has been ranked the #5 Best Public Course in Maryland by Golfweek! This tournament is our first major of the year, so do not miss out on playing a great course and earning double points! Registration closes on Saturday April 13^th.
