Although the group was small, the competition was tough in the Championship Flight! Ultimately, Dick McDonough’s score of 76 earned him the trophy. Second place went to Jerry Resh after carding a 79 and in third place was Crews Miller with a score of 83.  All three of these members are in the top of the overall standings as well. 

In terms of the A Flight, only five strokes separated the first five places. Gordan Brixi shot the lowest round with an 80. Right behind him was John Richards and Mike Garland with an 81. Nick Gerstner’s round ended with an 84, one stroke ahead of James Beresh, Chad Slimmer, David Pongrace, TZ Jia and Alan Dorow.

Meanwhile, in the B Flight, Steve Ashman lead the pack with a score of 83 and finished an impressive four strokes ahead of Stan Boyer’s 87 and six strokes ahead of third place players Steve D’Ambrosio and Skip Bankston. Close scores were also prevalent in the C Flight. For the first time in three years, Rob Fields outscored the rest. His round of 91 was one stroke better than both of the Stackhouses! Don and Imee Stackhouse tied with a 92 followed by newcomer Rukevbe Esi with a 93 rounded out the top five with a 94.

Finally, the D Flight winner, Greg Wentzel, finished the day with a 90. Second place went to Brent Taliaferro (94) and third place to James Briggs (95). Chuck Lineberry finished with the only skin and a score of 97 securing his position in first place in the overall standings (only 10 points ahead of Donald Cherry).
