Blue Mash could be renamed the play-off tournament of the Golfweek Amateur Tour since multiple flights come down to the end. Here’s the recap!

The largest play-off of the 2014 season took place in the C Flight. Three people tied with a score of 83—Mike Brengle, John Pleasant and Imee Stackhouse. As a result, they took to the course for sudden death. At the end of the day, Imee Stackhouse chipped in for the win and took home her first trophy! John Pleasant finished second and Mike Brengle third. Grady Lovett was only one stroke behind the leaders and finished fourth with an 84. In fifth place was the only other C Flight player that broke 90 for the day—Tim Newman with an 88.

The B Flight also ended in a playoff and a first-time winner for the 2014 season when Doug Hamacek beat Harry Sherman after both scored an 83 in regulation. Third place went to Steve D’Ambrosio and his score of 84. Behind Steve was a four-way tie between Dorinda Pastorek, Justin Rau, Bob Tallman and Scott Stewart (all shot 86).

The winner of the A Flight was Dave LaPierre with a score of 75. This was Dave’s first win of the 2014 season. Second place went to Garyk Brixi after he shot a 77 and got closest to the pin on hole #4. In third place was David Pongrace with a 79 and right behind him was James Beresh with an 80.

The D Flight had a repeat winner when Don Cherry took home the trophy after reaching a personal goal--congratulations to Don for his lowest score in a tournament (87)! Not far behind Don were John Moriarty (90), Greg Wentzel (93) and Chuck Lineberry (95).

Finally, the Championship Flight was small and close together. Only four strokes separated all of the players. In the end, Crews Miller finished first with a 75. Devon Hayes came in second with a 77 and Ryan Smith was third with a 79.
