The tournament at Westfields included members from the DC Tour as well as from Tidewater, Philly and Louisiana. We always enjoy hosting members from other cities and hope to see more people in the future! 

In the on-going rivalry in the Championship Flight, Jack Sheehan (second in the last tournament) came in first place this week with a score of 83. John Nesbitt (92) and Ron Wetherbee (94) finished second and third respectively.

Both the A Flight and the C Flight were won by visiting players this week. In fact, both the first place and second place winners in the A Flight came from Tidewater—Mike Sheehan shot a 76 and Roger Munoz carded a 79. Third place went to guest Mario Mitchell with an 80 and fourth place went to our very own Mike Green who shot an 82.  George Young, another DC Member, took third place in the C Flight with a score of 90. Meanwhile, both the first place and second place winners were visitors—Chris Ryan took the trophy home to Louisiana with his score of 88 and Curt Jablonka was close behind with an 89 (from Tidewater). 

The B Flight had the strongest DC showing and we are certainly excited for Steve Ashman who won his first trophy since joining the tour (we aren’t including the one he took home in a rain-shortened tournament last year). Steve shot an 85 and was just slightly ahead of David Macke and Matt Garland (second and third) who both scored 88. Dorinda Pastorek and Chris Crawford (fourth and fifth) also tied with 89. Way to go B Flight members!

DC Metro had another first time trophy winner in the D Flight—Ken Mutzabaugh! Ken won a close match after beating Karl Yergey in a playoff after both players finished the round with a 98. Claudia Moonen came in third with a 108 while fourth and fifth place went to Shawn Doyle and Rod Glitz who tied with 110.
