Anthony Phillips, Andres Lopez, John Tompkins, Ryan Combs and Shawn McKee all win at Savannah Harbor.
Champ Flight:
Anthony
Phillips help on for the win by only one shot over four other players on
Saturday. Phillips pared the difficult
par four 18th to seal his first victory of the season at 73. Howard Fister, Kyle Putkonen, Jamie Manning
and Terry Lanning all finished tied one shot back at 74. Fister cashed second, Putkonen third and
Manning fourth on the scorecard playoff.
A Flight:
Andres Lopez
posted his best round ever on tour and also the lowest round of the tournament
as he fired a two under par 69. The
score also lifted Lopez to Champ Flight for the rest of the 2020 season,
congrats Andres. Brent Densmore was
second at 77 followed by Charles Getsinger 78 and Joe Combs and Kevin Lyles
with 79.
B Flight:
John
Tompkins wins in a sudden-death playoff over Atlanta’s Cade Slaughter. Both players finished at 78 and after tying
the first playoff hole it was deemed by both players to dark to continue so Tompkins
won on the card playoff. Will Ray, Ryan
Garrigan and Paul Sherry all finished one shot back at 79.
C Flight:
Ryan Combs
wins by only one shot over two other players.
Combs wins his first ever tournament at 83 followed by Elgin Young and
Ray Clark both firing 84’s. Jesse Green
rounded out the top four spots and cashed with 86.
D Flight:
Shawn McKee
wins by four firing a solid round at 91.
Brad Blanchi and Bill Hutchinson tied at 95 and Charlotte’s Mark Stone
rounded out the top four spots at 97.

all 72 players who broke the record for most players ever on regular season
tournament. Let’s keep the momentum
going and get to 100 players each event by March-April.
