Jeff Wong, Joe Bryant, Charles Getsinger, James Nemes and Joe Peny all win at HH National!
Champ Flight:
Jeff Wong continues
his dominance in Champ Flight this year as he defends his National Championship
title this October. Wong had seven
birdies in all Saturday on route to a five under par round of 66. Zake Masterson did put some pressure on Wong
after a great birdie on 12 Masterson was tied at four under par. A few slips coming in cost him the chance for
victory but still shot and even par round of 71 for second. Kyle Putkonen last week’s winner, Chris Bell and
Chris Maybrey all tied with 73 but Maybrey won the gift card in the playoff.
A Flight:
Joe Bryant
won for the first time ever on tour with a solid round of 74. Brian Priester lead most of the day but wound
up solo second with 76. Joe Combs cashed
third at 77 follow by points leader Scott Edwards and Joe McVey with 78’s.
B Flight:
Charles
Getsinger and Rick Dilsworth tied at 78 and in sudden-death playoff Getsinger
was victorious. With the win he hangs on
to a 260 points lead over John Robinson with only three tournament left to
play. Robinson cashed third at 80
followed by last week’s winner Sam Lewis at 81.
C flight:
James Nemes
(Myrtle Beach) wins by two shots with 85.
John Haynie & Noel Coolican tied at 87 with Coolican cashing on the
card playoff.
D Flight:
The two top point’s
leaders battled all day and in the end Joe Peny nipped Aaron Masterson by only
three shots with 90. Masterson carded a
second place finish with 93 followed by Bradley Crumrine at 97 and Carl Matlock
with 98.
