Jeff Wong, Joe McVey, Justin Gainey, Matt Malone and Anthony Salas all win at Savannah Harbor!

Flight:
Jeff Wong, last year’s point’s winner picks up right
where he left off in 2020 with another win on the Golfweek Amateur Tour. Wong holed out for eagle on the first hole
and never looked back firing a two under par round of 70 which included a birdie
on 18. Wes Fennel pushed Wong all day at
one point both players were tied at 2 under but in the end Fennel finished solo
second at 73. Zake Masterson was also in
the hunt all day and was third with 74 followed by Charleston’s BJ Hill at 75
and Matthew Proffitt with 76.

Flight:
Joe McVey started his 2021 season off with a bang
winning by three shots with a stellar round of 77. Michael Gary with 80 was second followed by
three players. Charleston’s Lee Dixon,
Cram Cooper and Eric Risner all tied at 81 with Dixon winning third place money
on the card and Cooper 4th.
B
Flight:
Justin Gainey (Myrtle Beach) and Kris Brinker finished
all tied after 18 holes with 79’s. The
day’s only sudden-death playoff ended on the eighteenth when Gainey birdied the
hole for the victory. Doug Burford and
Bryant Turner finished tied at 81 with Burford winning third place money on the
card.

Flight:
Matt Malone captured his first ever victory on tour
winning by one shot with a score of 82.
David Mays was solo second with 83 followed by last year’s points
champion Ray Clark in third at 86.
Thomas Ribas & Paul Guy finished tied fourth at 87.
D
Flight:
Anthony Salas (Jacksonville) wins by three firing a
great round of 86. Jeffery Hubler was
solo second at 89 followed by Augusta’s Scott Holland with 92. Al Smith and Doug Bailey rounded out the top
five in the flight wit 93’s.
