The Hilton Head-Savannah Tour of the Golfweek Amateur Tour played its most recent event this past Saturday at Sterling Links golf Course in Richmond Hill, Ga. A small turnout of only 14 golfers took to the course to play and compete for the title.
The A flight was won by Brian Carney in an uncontested round. Brian shot an 87 on the day. Congratulations on getting the season started off on the right foot.
The B flight saw Thomas Hamilton win his third consecutive tournament, first in the B flight, of the season. Thomas was able to hold off Darrell Bazemore (83) and Roger Clark (84) to claim the top spot.
Four players in the C flight all stepped out in an attempt to claim the top spot. At the end of the day it was Justin Collins and his round of 82 that took the top spot. Coming in second was Jess Haynes (88) followed by Todd Saylor (89). Mike Miller earns fourth place points with his round today.
The D flight saw George Story outlast JR Shultz to claim the top spot. This win just continues to add to George’s win totals. JR continues to improve and is on the verge of breaking through for that first win of the season.
Our next event of the year will be at Hilton Head Lakes on April 7th. Sign up soon to secure your spot in the tournament.
