What a difference a day makes!!!...We finally got a sunny day, but the wind, strong enough to put a satellite in orbit. But you guys got through it and played pretty well, the best round of the day was Hiran Hicks with a 77, not bad for the “Coach†and he is a senior player too. And Mr. British Open Les Bradstreet “sneaked†in with 3 birdies that won him a nice payout of $90. All in all it was a good day, and I hope you all liked the new Major trophies…. Plan is to get similar ones for each of the other Majors. And I would like to make a business offer, if you would like to sponsor the Majors, we will rename them for your company and put you on the website and a constant listing on our tour newsletter, plus a selling article for your company. The cost would be under $150, let me know if you’re interested, this is just to cover the cost of the trophies.
And now the winners: As mentioned in the Championship flight Hiran Hicks won $80 with a 77 over Ryan Cronin. In the A Flight Paul Sanderson won $75 with win over John Tucker who won $45 for 2nd . B Flt Kenneth Wilhelm $110 won, he our newest member, 2nd place Les Bradstreet $65 and 3rd Barry Elliott $45. C Flt Kent Barker $100 Russell Lamoy 2nd $60 and 3rd Jerome Smith $40. D Flight Robert Moye $85 2nd Thomas Haddad $55. Tom is back from shoulder surgery, and were glad to have him back.

SKINS CHAMP & A FLT $17 EA RYAN CRONIN 1, PAUL SANDERSON 1, MATT WITT 1. B,C&D FLT $30 EA LES BRADSTREET 3, RALPH LACARBONARA 1, SETH STEPHENS 1, KEN WILHELM 1, PAT SULLIVAN 1.
Also since we have quite a few new members I want to remind all about few rules, all of our tournaments are played under the USGA guidelines and rules, and I guarantee the more you play the more familiar you will be about the rules for this great competitive game of golf. Before you start count clubs maximum is 14, MARK YOUR BALL, and tell opponents what it is and how its marked. The tour DOES NOT USE THE ONE BALL RULE. Exchange score cards, and mark the score players make on each hole, and be sure to circle birdies. Even though someone else is keeping your score card you are responsible that is correct, so a suggestion is to keep your score separately so you can check it. And please get score card to me BEFORE you put your clubs away, so I can do the scoring a little quicker. And above all if there is a question about a ruling, instead of getting pissed off with each other, play 2 balls and I will get ruling for you.
Also this weekend was a good crowd, and I hope we can make it bigger, we have a great group of competitive players who enjoy the camaraderie and networking. So be sure to invite friends to play a guest then if they want they can join.
Next event is sat 4/11 Hillcrest in Orangeburg…. It masters week and Easter Holy week and the course will be in great shape and also offer a spiritual experience, so let me know if you going to play ………… thanks for all your support.
