Well we did it again, other than the 2 playoffs we made it before the rain….. And I have to compliment you ALL!!! The pace of play is great, almost all of you are finishing before the times listed on your cards… and this is making a great impression on the clubs we are playing. It makes it a lot easier, for us to get to play at their course.

We had the biggest crowd of the year for us 46 players, with 8 coming from other tours and you did a good job defending our Columbia turf… Dan Cooper from Augusta won the A Flt…..great job, keep the gift cards here in Columbia!!!!! Also please be sure to welcome our newest members… B Flt JOE BRUTTO, DAVE EZELL.. C FLT BEAR MILLER AND IN D FLT our first female player, Mrs. LILLIE HUNTER from Newberry.

Now for the events:

CHAMP FLIGHT   We had good group of 6 players and AARON KERSEY shot 75 and did not need a playoff this time to win his first event of the year. PHIL PFEIFFER of the MB tour was second with a 77.

A FLIGHT DAN COOPER Augusta tour had a solid round 81, to beat TROY RAUCH who finished with an 84…and it’s another tale of 2 nines, RAUCH had a 3 stroke lead going into #10, but had some problems.

B FLIGHT    He’s back…. JOHN BECKMAN is the winner in his first event after his knee surgery. He was tied after 18 with JOSE LAGOS at 83 and won in a playoff (in the rain) on the course.

C FLIGHT    LES BRADSTREET had another solid round 82 to come away the winner over newcomer BEAR MILLER who had a solid 85. They were even after 9 but MILLER had some problems on back nine.

D FLIGHT we had another tie at 93 between DJ DEJESUS and WILLIAM HINSON…. Both were dead even after each nine…. And DEJESUS won in a 2 hole playoff…. For his first win of the year.
