In the A Flight Brooks Varn from the Charleston tour had a 79 to win and James Donahue was 2nd. In the B flight another first win for Trey Castles with a solid 79, two players finished with 80 and George King Charleston tour won in a playoff over Jose Lagos. We had a great day with the weather and some pretty good playing from the flight winners. Thanks to the visiting players and guest (we had 8) making this a pretty good turnout. You’re all doing a pretty good job with the pacing and just a few gaps, so keep up the good work. Also remember a couple of tournament basic rules, only 14 clubs, exchange score cards and remember we are playing the ball DOWN. Another note if you see an infraction, you MUST call it to players attention…… even if your not playing well and don’t think it makes a difference to you, its your job to protect the field your playing in. It’s a lesson I learned the hard way playing in the World Amateur Golf tournament in Myrtle Beach.
