David Bruce, Jerome Smith, Ken Wilhelm, Matt Witt
Cronin, Mathias, Witt….. Low rounds for the day
Well we had an exciting day at Beech Creek……… we beat the rain, played on course in great shape. Also we had some personal situations Tom Haddad left course with EMS after suffering some chest pains….. initial test show he may have had a heart attack, and they will do more test, but he is resting well and pissed that he had to leave the course!!!!
Also Hiran Hicks had to leave due to old problem with his foot. Please keep both players in your thoughts and I will keep you up to date.
Regarding the golf, we had some pretty good play from the champ and A flt with scores in the mid 70’s from the Black tees, and we had two playoffs, champ flight and B Flight. Please note that on the Columbia tour to settle ties for 1st place in a Flight, players will playoff on the COURSE….. Unless the golf course will not let us go out. So please stay around if you have good score, because if you leave, you will automatically lose the playoff.
Now for the winners; Championship flight we had our first tie with Ryan Cronin and new member Jonathan Mathias tied at 76 and Cronin won after 3 hole playoff. In the A Flight Matt Witt was the winner with another good score 76 to beat Paul Sanderson who had 78. In the B Flight the other playoff between Ken Wilhelm and Les Bradstreet both had 84 and Wilhelm prevailed in a one hole playoff. C Flight Jerome Smith had a solid round 90 and won over Kent Barker 94, and in the D Flight David Bruce was first with a 90.
Other winners: PINS CHAMP & A FLT $120 (80 + 40) JOHN TUCKER, B FLT $25 LES BRADSTREET, C FLT $20 LARRY HINSON D FLT $10 NOBODY
SKINS CHAMP & A FLT $6 EA PAUL SANDERSON 2, JOHN TUCKER 1, MATT WITT 1, JONATHAN MATHIAS 3. B, C &D FLT $30 EA JEROME SMITH 2.
Next event is 6/6 and it’s the combo event with Charleston tour at Santee National, should be a good turn out and it will be a shotgun start,
