We had a field of 25:
Champ Flight, David Dodgen took a 3 shot lead at the turn with solid play on a tough course with a 39 (+2). Dodgen faltered on Hole #12 with a triple which tied him up with Joey Hawkins. The last few holes on the back side are tough! Hawkins stayed steady, playing the last 4 holes in +1 to Dodgen’s +6. Joey Hawkins, 42-39-81 (+8), came out on top with a four shot victory for his first win in 2025.
A Flight, was a wild ride on the front side with Paul Cotton leading by one shot over Ilango Srirganesh. On the back side, Cotton put the pedal to the medal with birdies on 11 & 12, shooting a 38 for a 10 shot victory over Sriganesh for his first win on the season.
B Flight, after 9 holes there was a tie between Chris Edmands and Stan Wetmore with 42 (+5). Edmands stayed steady with pars starting the Back 9, separating himself from Wetmore but made a disastrous triple bogey on one of the most interesting Par 5s in the state, the 14th hole. They were still tied after 14 holes, but Stan made double on 16 and Edmands ended up with a 2 shot victory over Wetmore.
C Flight, Brandon Parker played well in his first event of the season going up against Jimmy Mathis, CJ Hutchens, and Drew Derrick. All 4 players were close going into the 13th hole but one by one, everyone started faltering on the tough Back 9. Parker held strong and eventually emerged the winner by 3 shots over Hutchens.
D Flight, there was no contest as Andy Wardyn won his first event on tour by 9 shots with a 48-48-96 (+23).
Fun Fact: Out of the entire field, every player made a triple bogey or worse. The only 2 players that did not were Mike Milewski (Champ) and Stan Wetmore (B Flight).
