We got lucky with the weather; evidently all around us there was some pretty good rain….It must have been the wedding after our event that saved us. The course was in good shape, and while we might have had a lower turnout, it was our quality group and quality players. Review of the play; in the Championship flight John Bray was the winner with a 77 from the Black tees. In the A Flight James Donahue was the winner over Ernie Timmerman both had 77’s and Donahue won on 2 hole playoff. In the B Flight a pretty close match with Les Bradsteet winning with an 81 finishing 2nd was Jose Lagos with an 82 (included an eagle) and right behind was Ralph LaCarbonara with an 83….. Pretty good play from these boys. In the C Flight another tie at 91 between Russell Lamoy and Larry Hinson with Lamoy winning one hole playoff. And the best story is in the D Flight with Tom Haddad the winner with an 89, to beat Todd Ledford who had a 90. One year ago, at our event here at Beech Creek, Tom had a heart attack. We had a lot of excitement with 3 ems trucks and him going to the hospital, and he has made great recovery and were glad to have him back, and in the winners circle.
