We had another great day at the Woodlands, great turnout and the weather really turned out well for us. Pace of play was still a problem for a couple of groups and fortunately there no members behind us. Folks you really have to help out on this, work on playing ready golf, and above all you must keep up with the group in front of you. Also, please get to the course at least 30 minutes before your tee time. This helps get every one set and also allows us to start early if the club allows us. This happened sat and usually will happen when we play the private clubs, as they may not have that many members playing. Jonathan Mathias won the Championship flight for the E-Golf amateur tour at Woodlands Country Club. Mathias had the lowest round on the tour this year, he had 4 birdies on his way to a 69 with Troy Rauch finishing 3rd . In the A Flight Darryl Averyhart was the winner with a good round 78. In the B flight Kenneth Wilhelm had an eagle on #15 on his way to a fine round 77 and 2nd went to Rufus Wilson 79. In the C Flight Kent Barker was the winner with an 87 edging out Russell Lamoy who had an 89. And in the D Flight Brian Burton of the Upstate tour won with a 92 beating Robert Moye.
