Well we had the last regular tournament Sat…. great day on a really good golf course. We had a smaller than usual crowd thanks to our Gamecocks playing same time and so well. Maybe we will schedule events on Sunday next year?

But this weekend also gave us answer about the years point leaders who will receive $100 gift cards. They are: CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT QUENTIN YARBROUGH, A FLIGHT PAUL SANDERSON, B FLIGHT JOHN BECKMAN, C FLIGHT RANDY WOODWARD, D FLIGHT WILLIAM HINSON.

Remember, we have OUR COLUMBIA CITY championship next sat & sun 9/29 & 9/30 at COBBLESTONE PARK. If you finished in the top 10 in your flight your eligible to play in this championship. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU’RE PLAYING….. I hope we can have a good turnout; I am trying to get sponsorship for this, so we can increase prize payout for each flight.

As mentioned before, we have special trophy for this event and prizes will be as follows: 1^ST TROPHY AND $200 PLUS 2013 MEMBERSHIP, 2^ND $100 AND 50% OFF 2013 MEMBERSHIP, 3^RD $50 AND 25% OFF MEMBERSHIP. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU’RE PLAYING.

Now for the Ft Jackson event, we had some good scores and some pretty close matches.

A FLIGHT JARED BEARD had one of his better rounds winning by a stroke with a 77 over PAUL SANDERSON who finished with a 78. BEARD, had a great round with 4 birdies and included a triple on par 5 13!!!

B FLIGHT RUSSELL LAMOY continues his good play with an 83 and one stroke win over LAWRENCE WHITESIDE who had an 84. LAMOY’s round included 3 birdies.

C FLIGHT LES BRADSTREET is back from his trip to the OPEN in England, and might have picked up some tips!!! He was the winner by 2 strokes with an 86 over LYLE WADDELL who had an 88.

D FLIGHT DAVID GOODWIN had a 98 to win by a stroke over DWIGHT WILLIAMS who finished with a 99. This was GOODWIN’s first win for 2012.
