Thanks to all who made this a great event… we got a little (?) rain, but you all made it through it.

This is a really interesting format that’s been around a long time, and is probably the "purest" type handicap event you can play. And we got some really great finishes…

Also I was really impressed with the looks of Mt Vintage a really beautiful golf course, hope we can work out some other events here.

Here is report on the results.

CHAMP FLIGHT.. MICHAEL PHELPS and RYAN MCCOOK duked it out for 2 days and MICHAEL was the winner.

A FLIGHT. One of the few flights where we had + points with MATT MOLLOHAN coming in first with +12.1 pts and 2^nd JOHN TUCKER with +6.3.

B FLIGHT This flight, like our countries economy, was in the negative column… RUSSELL LAMOY was first with -1.4 pts and 2^nd went to JOHN BECKMAN who finished with -4.2 pts.

C FLIGHT One of the really close competitions, MICHAEL TANNER was the winner with + 3.8 pts and 2^nd went to RANDY WOODWARD + 3.7 pts!! That’s a tenth of a pt for victory. And in 3^rd JOHN FURR + 2.2 pts.

D FLIGHT This was another close flight MIKE SALTERS was the winner with a total of +2.4 pts, and STEVEN OVERSTREET had his first trip to winners circle, finishing 2^nd with +1.0 pts. And for 3^rd place another decision by 10^th of pt… TODD LEDFORD finished +0.5 to edge out WILLIAM HINSON who had +0.4.

BETTING POOL…it was pretty simple SAT skins pot $370 and we had 3 skins.. ALL by RICHARD LOY… so I didn’t have to make change..Congratulations RICHARD.

CLOSE TO PINS; SAT bonus prize $25 LEXINGTON CC GARY COLLINS PAUL SADERSON, I can’t remember who got the other 2. SUNDAY we had a round for a foursome to play MT VINTAGE and that was won by BIG MIKE SALTERS who put it about 5" from the cup….AND he made the birdie putt!!!!

For the Columbia tour our next event is SAT 8/18 and it will be at COLUMBIA COUNTRY CLUB… (Not spring valley).. This is a great course ALWAYS in great shape, and it’s a big deal for us to be able to play. I hope we get a big crowd, it’s worth playing. Also I will be at the PGA CHAMPIONSHIP this week, as spectator and also volunteer working in merchandize tent… I will let you know how it works out.
