Well we survived our first summer thunderstorm, and you all got a chance to sample Wendy’s fine grill house cuisine!!!! And thank god, the second round of storms never came. We had a great turnout, 49 players and a high of 13 visiting tour players, and some of them went home with trophies.

CHAMP FLIGHT..ERNIE TIMMERMAN of the Augusta tour came off the injured list to post his win with an 81.
A FLIGHT RICK HOOPER , also of the Augusta tour, had a great round of 78 to win beating our RICHARD LOY by a stroke.
B FLIGHT LAWRENCE WHITESIDE had his best round of the year 76, with 3 birdies, and ran away with the win. 2nd place went to LEE TOUCHTON who had an 86.
C FLIGHT Another close match with one stroke separating the top 3. JULIAN REVILLE won with a solid 84, one stroke back was GARY COLLINS continuing his good play with an 85 and 3rd place went to ROBERT SMITH (charlotte) with an 86.
D FLIGHT Another best round of the year, this one by TOM HADDAD who had an 86 to beat TODD LEDFORD 88 and 3rd went to WILLIAM HINSON 91.

We have our next event THE MODIFIED STABLEFORD, a 2 day event Sat 8/4 Sun 8/5, at two great golf courses LEXINGTON COUNTRY CLUB, AND MT VINTAGE. This is a great format and I will send more about it. Fee for the event is $180 and will include $10 skins for each day. This will also be a double point event, so mark your calendar and let’s have a great turnout.
