Thanks to all for the good turn-out, and with the exception of one group (you know who you are) we had a fairly good pace for the round. I also want to thank you for complying with the Spring Valley "tucked shirt tails"… we might think about doing that all the time, because you all looked very professional.
We also had another great day with the weather, and it never really got super hot. Spring Valley always offers a quality golfing environment, and we will be playing here again 8/18.
Now for the results:
CHAMP FLIGHT: the boys played from the back tees (black), and it showed with fewer birdies from this group. But the winner was young (18yrs) DALTON WATERS… for his first AGT win in only his second event. DALTON won with an 81 for a 3 stroke win.
A FLIGHT: RICHARD LOY won here last year as a quest and now did it again as a member of the tour. LOY had a 76 with birdies on #6, 17 & 18. MIKE GRIGGS finished 2nd with a 79 with birdies on #2, 12 & 18.
B FLIGHT: JOSE LAGOS returned to the winners circle with a solid 86 and a 2 stroke win over BRENT RICHARDSON who had an 89 to finish 2nd.
C FLIGHT: This was a close finish, but we had LYLE WADDELL getting his first win of 2012 with a solid 84 to win by one stroke over JOHN SHORE who had an 85 to finish 2nd. ERIK EADIE, of the UPSTATE TOUR, finished 3rd with an 86.
D FLIGHT WILLIAM HINSON AND WES GENTRY continue to battle it out each week for top spot, and this week’s winner is WILLIAM HINSON who shot a 90 and beat WES GENTRY by a stroke finishing with a 91, which included a triple on the par 3 16.
