Thank you all for the great job you did with the pace of play, for this event. Considering the windy conditions you all played at a great pace. Beside the wind we had a great South Carolina day, and a great golf course in great shape. Also the people at Spring Valley had some request of us….. Keep carts on path and tucking shirts in. This is a reminder that many of the courses we are playing this year are private golf clubs, which have pretty conservative rules for dress etc. so we need to be on our best behavior and dress, as we are their guest. I also heard that some of the club members may not have seemed too friendly toward some of you ….. That’s not unusual. Most club members don’t want outside play, but economics has caused many of them to accept outside play for additional revenue, but that still doesn’t mean they like it. Incidentally, that’s why we have not had Wildewood or Wood Creek Farms on our schedule; they decided they are not going to take outside events like ours. So the E-Golf tour’s good reputation is very important and will insure we are able to keep these courses on our schedule. And it’s everybody’s responsibility to make it a good one. Now for the results; Championship flight Jonathan Mathias had an eagle on the second hole on his way to a 76 to win this flight. In the A Flight Brooks Varn, the big hitter from the Charleston tour was the winner with a score of 83. In the B Flight Dave Courtright another visitor from the Charlotte tour was the winner with an 84, beating Trey Castle by a stroke. In the C Flight another close one with Ryan O’Leary with an 82 to beat Kent Barker who had an 83. D Flight was a tie at 98 and Todd Ledford won beating John Webb in a one hole playoff.
