2017 Kickoff Tournament Results:

Once again the Arkansas GolfWeek Amateur Tour dodged another thunderstorm and everyone was able to finish the final day of a 2-day opening tournament. Some familiar faces won some flights and some newcomers introduced themselves to the Tour with some wins in their flights. Saturday and Sunday, April 1st and 2nd, the Arkansas GolfWeek Amateur Tour kicked off its 6th season at Magellan and DeSoto Golf Courses in Hot Springs Village. Below are all the winners:

Champ Flight

     Lee Sanders (73-83) notched his first win of the seanson  with 2-stroke victory over Kyle Thompson (80-78)

A Flight

    Roy Blancaflor(77-73) defeated Robert Walters (right) (74-79) to win the A Flight. Coming in 3rd was Rick Cherry(left) (81-75).

B Flight 

     In the B Flight, Newcomer Stephen Boyd (76-85) outlasted Larry Greenfield (right) (81-81) for a 1 shot victory. 3rd place was Justin Lewis (left) (79-85)

C Flight

     In another excellent effort by a newcomer, Lance Jones (87-85) outlasted Reagan Clem (85-88) to win the C flight by 1-stroke. 3rd place was Gerald Laird (right) (89-85). Mike Petersen (left) (90-85) won 4th place on a cardoff over Raymond Peevy.

     Ira Watkins (91-87) posted a 4 shot win over 2nd place finisher, Tim Smith (left) (91-91). 3rd place was Larry Hunter (right) (90-94).
