2013 Arkansas Tours kicks off the season at Degray

We had a great day at Degray GC Thanks to everyone who came out to play and a special thanks to John and his crew for a job well done. The weather was nice but a little windy and the course played long and tough. The greens were rolling nice but as always at Degray the grain will have its say...

Congratulations to all our winners:

Champ flight had to go 2 extra holes to determine a winner. Kyle Thompson and Doug Golden both shot 80 in regulation. Kyle chipped in for birdie on number 2 for his first Golfweek Amateur Tour victory.

A flight was also very competitive as 3 shot separated the top 3 players. Roy Blancaflor collected his first win on the Golfweek Amateur Tour with a great round of 80. Roy is a returning member and we are glad to see him get the victory. Brandon Maple finished 2nd with a nice round of 81 and Jerry Homishak shot 83 to finish in 3rd.

The B flight saw another new comer to the tour Mack Harper fire a nice round of 82 to win by 4 shots. Rick Kidder finished 2nd with an 86 and Keith Greenfield and Earl Helton finished tied for 3rd with 87's. Keith won the card off for 3rd.

The C flight saw Bob Taylor come away with a one shot victory over John Ross. Bob shot 90 and John shot 91. Danny Smith finished in 3rd with a 94.

D flight had a run away winner as newcomer Mike Shaw fired a great round of 92 to win by 7 shots. Another newbie Mack Nickels’ came in 2nd shooting a 99 and Rusty McFarren finished 3rd with a 100.
