It was a cold 46 degrees with wind and rain at Greystone. The
course was in very good shape. We had some good score shot but for the most
part it was pretty a tough day.
I want o thank Richard and his staff for allowing us to use their golf course. The fairways
and greens were perfect.
Champ flight saw
Doug Golden pick up his 1st win on the AGT tour. He shot a nice round of 80
which included a 36 on the back nine. Jason Lyons finished in 2nd place.
We had a tie for 1st
in the A flight between Brent Lyons and Jon Nutt. Both players shot 82 and it
took 2 extra holes before Brent was able to beat Jon. Great round from both
guys. This was Brent's first win on the AGT.
B flight saw another
first time winner as Gary Penna shot the low round of the tournament. Gary shot
a very nice round of 78 to capture a 4 shot victory over Keith Greenfield.
Mike Petersen was
able to win his 2nd tournament in a row in the C flight. Mike shot 86 and
finished 6 shots better than Vic Werner. Vic finished 2nd shooting a 92.
The D flight had
another newcomer to the tour pick up the win. John Dailey was the only player
to break the century mark. John shot 98 followed in 2nd by Mike Shaw and Don
Jones. They both shot 103 and Mike was athe 2nd place winner in the card off.
I want to send out a
BIG CONGRATULATIONS to William Davis. William was the only player in the D
flight to have a birdie and he took home a 160 dollar skins pot for his
efforts. He also shot his best round ever on the tour. Great job William
