Perron's 73 captures Major at The Tennessean

John Perron wins the Championship Flight with a 1-over 73
The eGolf Amateur Tour of Nashville held their second major of the year at The Tennessean in Paris, TN. Battling 115 degree heat index, players made their way around this tough, but fair course layout. Some scores were as hot as the temp! Championship Flight John Perron had an excellent day carding 3 birdies in-a-row on his first nine holes and closed out his round with 8 pars. John finished with a 73. Lance Strawn finished in 2nd with an 80. A Flight Jerry Drewry (82) scored a two-stroke victory over Mike Pearson (84). Via the scorecard playoff between four golfers, Jonathan Saliba (85) takes home third. B Flight Mike Gilles (82) scored his first victory of the year, posting a one-stroke victory over Ken Booth (83). Third place went to Bob Franklin (88) in a scorecard playoff with Dennis Marr. C Flight Mike Whipple shoots 87 and takes home the trophy. Jason White posts 92 to come in second. Bryan Webb (94) takes home third. D Flight Dianne Dickinson (95) places first and James Dalton (100) finsihes second. Thanks go to the staff at The Tennessean for their excellent service and keeping us all hydrated!
