Champ Flighters -- Mark Jones (2nd place) and David White (1st place)
Spring Hill, TN – The eGolf Amateur Golf Tour of Nashville held its eighth event of the season at King’s Creek Golf Club in Spring Hill. Extreme heat and the threat of thunderstorms was not enough of a deterrent to stop the excellent golf that took place on this Saturday. In the Championship Flight, Carthage’s David White and Goodlettsville’s Mark Jones both shot 73 to tie for low round of the day. Only one playoff hole was needed for David White to notch his first victory of the year. Mt. Juliet’s Jeff Kinzer shoots 76 to place 3rd. In the A Flight, Jerry Drewry from White House takes home the victory by one stroke finishing with a 76. Nashville’s Adam Johnson claimed 2nd place with a 77. Antioch’s Alan Suska placed 3rd; shoots 80. In the B Flight, a scorecard playoff was needed to decide the winner. Both players shot 78 and Nashville’s Andrew Ward prevailed in a scorecard playoff over Columbia’s Mike Gilles. Bellevue’s Eric Botts (79) finishes one stroke back in 3rd place. In the C Flight, Franklin’s Horace Spoon shoots 79 to finish in 1st. Nashville’s Sam Neil (86) and LaVergne’s Steve Szyper (87) finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively. In the D Flight, Hendersonville’s Armando Oropeza made it back to the winner’s circle by posting an 84. Dianne Dickinson shoots 86 to take home 2nd place honors. Jimmy Suddarth finishes in 3rd with a 95. For complete tournament results and current point standings, visit us at www.agtnashville.com. Our next tour stop is at Henry Horton State Park on July 26th.
