Mt. Juliet, TN (April 19, 2008) The eGolf Amateur Tour held its third event of the season this past Saturday at Windtree Golf Club in Mt. Juliet, sponsored by Storico. And for the third event in a row, the weather caused a little havoc for us, but not enough to keep 66 golfers from competing in Nashville’s Amateur Tour that treats the amateur golfer like a Pro!
In the Championship flight, Mark Jones and Scott Atkinson both shot low rounds of the day firing 72’s, with Mark Jones coming out on top in a scorecard playoff. Third place was won by Bob Geil shooting a 74. Great rounds guys!
In the A flight, Terence Cheney recorded a 76, followed by Brad Suddarth with a 78, and the ever consistent Jerry Drewry posting a score of 81 on this rainy and chilly day.
Bob Pennington entered his first event of the season and in the B flight, took home first place with a score of 80. Andrew Ward and Jeff Ames took second and third posting scores of 82 and 83, respectively.
In the C flight, Dave Robert recorded his second consecutive victory of this 17 tourney season with a great round of 86. Horace Spoon and Gerald Bechman followed with second and third place finishes.
Finally, our D flight, Phillip Lemmonds took home the trophy with his win shooting a 96. Jim Rutherford and Ray Wiggins followed up the second and third places in that flight.
