TOURNAMENT RESULTS:

CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT:  On the strength of 3 Birdies and 12 Pars, Tucson Tour Member Sean Shields took the victory in the Championship Flight with an Even Par round of 72. Sean took the lead on the fourth hole of the day and extended his lead throughout the round.

A FLIGHT:  The Tucson Tours Jarrod Thayer continued his outstanding play in 2019 earning his Fifth win in 8 Starts on the Season. Using 3 Birdies on the day including back to back Birdies on Holes 4 and 5, Jarrod raced out to a 6 shot lead on the Front-9 and held steady to win by 5 overall with a 77 on the day. The win also locked in the Season long points Championship.

B FLIGHT:  Phoenix Tour Member Barbara Thomas had a Double Dip of her own. Chasing down fellow Phoenix Member Kevin Nelson, Barbara would make up 3 Shots on the final 3 Holes to take a 1 shot victory at 83 on the day and earn her first Major Championship on the GWAT. The win also would spring board Barbara to the top of the Points Standings and give her the Season long points Championship in the B Flight!!

C FLIGHT:   Walter Nash of the Tucson Tour used a solid Front 9 score of 42 to grab the lead early and held on for a final score of 87 to earn the Season Finale Championship win. Our third Two-for on the Day, Walter joined Jarrod and Barbara in also taking home the Season long points Championship.

D FLIGHT:   Mike Martin of the Phoenix Tour finished off a very strong end to the 2019 Season by winning his Fourth Event in six starts after coming back from injury earlier in the year!! With consistent play all day Mike would take the D Flight Championship with a score of 88 on the day. The win bumps Mike to the C Flight where he will begin the 2020 Season!!!
