Coming Soon To a Golf Course Near You!!
I would like to thank all the players that participated on the Memphis/N.MS Egolf Amateur Tours 2010 season. We had a better than expected first year, and it will only get better for 2011 season! My family and I really enjoyed meeting all the new people on the tour, and look forward to becoming even better friends with all of you, as well as meeting some new players. So, everyone go out and recruit some new talent for next season, which will be even more fun & competitive! Tell anyone who is interested to go ahead and register for the tour now, or anytime in the next 3 months. I will send out an email with a "discount" date to all the registered players. And just to let all of you in on a secret, Lisa (wife) and Wes (son) both say they will be whipping some of you on the golf course soon, since I can't seem to (Joke).
I would also like to send out a BIG thank you to all our sponsors that helped with the first season. The sponsors made the prizes much better for the players. Congratulations to all the flight winners for the 2010 season. Keep Recruiting and keep checking this website for updates! Thanks again everyone!

For new players interested in playing on the Egolf Amateur Tour, the tour is for amateur men & women golfers of all ages and abilities. Members are placed in one of five flights based on handicaps. Flights are: Championship (0-3.9 handicap), A Flight (4-8.9), B Flight (9-13.9), C Flight (14-18.9) and D Flight (19 and over). Also, official handicaps are not necessary to join and play on the Egolf Amateur Tour, as you will develop an amateur golf tour handicap while playing on tour. The AGT handicap will be used for flighting purposes.
Tournament format is gross stroke play, with USGA rules in effect. A software program and web page tracks each player’s tour handicap to ensure participants are placed in their proper flight. Player tour handicaps will be monitored throughout the season to field the most competitive flights possible.
Golfers may join the tour at any time for an $85 seasonal membership fee. That fee includes a gift bag and tour packet, and allows members to play in local tournaments, as well as other eGolf Amateur Tour events around the country.
Entry fees for the Memphis/North, MS eGolf Tour usually range from only $75-$100 for single day events. Those fees include cart and green fees, range balls and prize fund. There will also be separate sponsored par-three contests and an optional skins game at each event. Results and points standings are posted within 48 hours at:(www.amateurgolftour.net).
What if I don’t have a handicap?
If you do not have a handicap, the Tour Director can determine one for you. Please contact the Tour Director and begin this process when you sign up to become a member.
Will winning prizes affect my Amateur status?
No, your status will remain the same. The Tour offers only merchandise prizes in the form of gift cards. No cash prizes are awarded thus assuring that players’ amateur status is not jeopardized. In compliance with USGA rules for amateur status, no individual player may accumulate merchandise winnings in excess of $750 per event.
