For those of you new to the tour here is some information on how we run our Tournaments:

  • Tournament payouts FOR ALL FLIGHTS:  60-80 players $300 Guarantee 1st place prize money, 81-100 players $400, and 101+ players $500 guaranteed 1st place. (Prize money is doubled for 2 day tournaments).Total payout for each flight will be determined by how may participants are in the flight. As an example, if there are 20 players in the flight, 4-5 places are paid. 
  • Each Flight will have a 2025 champion and payouts to 4th place. (1st place: Trophy, paid 2026 membership and 3 tournaments paid*), (2nd place: 3 tournaments paid*), (3rd place: 2 tounaments paid*), (4th place: 1 tournament paid*). *One day Houston events only
  • Flight skins (Seperated by flight) $20 buy-in each tournament
  • Super skins (Entire field) $10 buy in each tournament
  • $5 CTP will now be "polies". Polies are if you hit within a flagstick on any par 3 (appx 7'), you will split the prize money. (Example: A total of 5 people hit within the flagstick on any the p ar 3's, $500 in the pot, each player wins $100)
  • Several tournaments will host a breakfast or lunch prior to, or after the tournament ends.
  • Facebook info page "Houston GolfWeek Amateur Tour" will have updates/info on all upcoming tournaments.  Please like and follow!
  • We will still have many ways to pay on the website...Cashapp and Venmo along with PayPal (a small fee will apply)
  • Skins and polies will be paid at the course or by Venmo within 48 hours.  If you do not have the app set up, I can send you a link to install the app. Prize money Gift Cards not picked up day of tournament will automatically be credited to your account to use on any future Charlotte Tour Event.
  • In order to speed up play, groups will be warned and penalized if they fall further than 1 hole behind. To help speed up play, please play ready golf and limit your ball searches to 3 minutes (Per USGA Rule)
  • Please make special requests such as playing partners BEFORE tee times are posted. REQUESTS WILL ONLY BE HONORED IF YOU ARE IN THE SAME FLIGHT AS THE OTHER PLAYER(S). The Houston Tour will have 10 events in 2024. The Tour kicks off the 2024 season with the Windrose GC event on March 2. Right now all 10 events are booked and available for entry and payment. We will play Eagle Pointe GC and Walden on Lake Conroe twice this year. Tell a friend about the Tour as we get more players the payouts will be better.

Please bring correct change for the cash games if possible.

USGA Rules will be used for the tournament. If in doubt of a procedure please play two balls and talk to Greg Boyd or the Head Pro
