The DC Metro Golfweek Amateur Tour held its 2025 Member-Guest Tournament @ Blue Mash Golf Course in Laytonsville, MD. While the rain held off, the day was overcast and cool with temperature in the low 50’s. Forty-three (43) golfers braved the elements and played some competitive golf. The Par-71 course was in immaculate shape and the greens proved to be elusive after being rolled prior to play on Saturday morning. Finally, the ground crew strategically place the pins in locations that made them difficult at best. Hats off to the staff of Blue Mash for your continued support. The feedback we receive about your venue is positive and we look forward to continuing this relationship in the future. There were no Champ Flight Players, but the competitive juices in the other flights again made the competition fierce. Finally, there was a tournament with the tournament as there were three member-guest teams vying for the coveted Frosted-beer mug, with the guest having their membership paid on the spot by Tom and I. The team of Thomas Choi and Mike Koh walked away with the honors.
