The 1st Annual Team Stableford Cup

Price Per Team: $50 Per Team  ($25 Per Player) – Players can enter on multiple teams.

Prizes: Based on the final total of teams entered…at the minimum the Top 3 Teams Paid Out (1st: 50% ; 2nd 30% ; 3rd: 20%) from the Player Pot.  [Example 20 Teams: First Place Team $500 ; Second Place Team $300 ; Third Place Team $200]

How does the Stableford Cup work:  The Chicago golf format starts each golfer with a negative amount of points, then awards points for positive achievements during the round. The object is to move from negative points into positive points (known as "clearing your hurdle") and the team who gets farthest into positive territory is the winner. The point total each golfer starts with is based on tour indexes prior to the Kiawah Regional, so all golfers playing Chicago-style need to have tour indexes with a min of 4 Rounds played.

Starting Points for Golfers in Chicago Format: The negative points each golfer begins with in the Chicago format are based on tour indexes and begin at -39 (minus-39) for scratch golfers. Point totals then go up (toward zero) from there, one stroke/one point at a time: Scratch golfer starts at minus-39 ; 1-handicapper starts at -38 ; 2-handicapper starts at -37 ; 3-handicapper starts at -36 ; 4-handicapper starts at -35 ; etc.

Earning Chicago Points: During the round, golfers earn positive points on this basis: Bogeys are worth 1 point Pars are worth 2 points; Birdies are worth 4 points ; Eagles are worth 8 points ; Double eagles (albatrosses) are worth 16 points

Ex: If the two members of your team are starting at -33, and -22, then your team starts at -55. The object is then the same: Clear the hurdle (move into positive points) by the largest amount.

The team to come out on top will win the Bragging Rights and the BIG TEAM CUP for one year.  Teams can be from different flights and not all from the same flight.
