John Bessette Putts For Birdie at Stoneybrook West

Tour veteran John Bessette was the only player able to break par at Stoneybrook West. He shot a solid round of 71 to top the Championship flight by three strokes over Christian Vozza and Garrett Morrison. It was the first win of the year for Bessette. Chad Frank and Bill Shufelt rounded out the top five with rounds of 76.

For the third week in a row--this time without a playoff, Rob Kempinski (pictured) topped the Senior Championship flight. His round of 75 was good enough to edge past 2011 Player of the Year Steve Maddox by a single stroke.

Al Brosman Wins in His First Event

First time player Al Brosman claimed victory in A flight with a very nice round of 75. He needed every putt as three players were right on his heels; Mark Farrow, Tom Dillon and former Orlando player Alex Sandor all posted 76's. Another stroke back was Adam Wilson in 5th with 77.

In Senior A flight, Jeff Bradshaw shot 78 to win top honors. Jim Amneus and Robbie Robinson shot 79's to tie for second. Robinson won the match of scorecards.

The B flight went to Jim Kenney with a fine round of 79. It was his second win of the season. Ernie Hallare was two strokes back in second after an 81. New member Mike Ferretti, continued his good play with an 84 to finish third. John Beckman from the Columbia, SC tour was 4th on 85. First place in Senior B flight went to Bill DeTorres. He shot 86 to beat Bob Molsick by one.

Chet Rakowski Moves Into First Place in Senior B Standings
