DISNEY THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH FOR BESSETTE, CARGO, & ESPERON

ALBERTO ESPERON IS ALL SMILES AFTER VICTORY IN D FLIGHT

The 95+ degree heat slowed some of the players down, but it couldn't stop John Bessette from capturing the second and final major of the season for the Golfweek Amateur Tour Orlando's Championship flight.  Although he did not join the tour until June, the win gave him an opportunity to qualify for the Tour Championship in October.  The Championship flight came down to patience.  John fired a closing 34 on his final nine holes for a 73 and a two day total of 150.  He came away with a three stroke victory over Eric Baker who shot 74-79-153.  First round leader Paul Simpkins struggled to an 81 after 73 on Saturday; but he held on for 3rd place.
