Big Blue April 30, 2023
Well, the weather was once again something to have to deal with at the University Club on April 30th. We had sun, wind, rain, hail and did I mention we had WIND!! But everyone battled through the conditions again to have a great day of golf…although the score reflected the conditions as they were higher than expected in most cases. We want to thank the UClub for hosting us, our trophy sponsor (The Gilliam Firm, PLLC), all our players and the players that made the trip from Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio to join us.
Congratulations to all our winners!!
CHAMP FLIGHT WINNER-ANDREW BUSE

The conditions did not phase Andrew, as he is getting back into championship level form. Andrew was under par most of the day and finished up with a score of 1 under from 7000 yards in very tough weather conditions on a tough course in the best conditions. Andrew was 2 under until a bogey on the last hole cut him to a score of 71.
Very nice playing and Congratulations Andrew!
A FLIGHT WINNER-PEDREN ALUMBAUGH

As a new member of the tour Pedren came out and played well against the tough conditions, with the lead being held by Logan Early after nine holes, Logan had a couple bad holes while Pedren remained steady and held on in the end to win by two strokes.
Glad to have you with us on tour Pedren and Congratulations on winning your very first tournament!!
B FLIGHT WINNER-MICHAEL ANDERSON

Coming down from the Cincinnati tour Michael played well all day but as the day went along, he and Cory Ryan were tied basically all day long. With 18 holes in, it went to a playoff between Michael and Cory with Michael taking the victory after a lip out putt by Cory. Well played by both and Michael (great sportsmanship) insisted Cory be in the photo of the winner with him!!
Congratulations Michael!!
C FLIGHT WINNER-TANNER MANNING

Tanner is a new member this year and recorded his second tour victory with a very solid round. Tanner went to the back nine with a three-stroke lead and was able to extend that lead on the back nine as the winds really picked up. Steady play and avoiding the big numbers on holes helped him to stretch that lead and come away with his second win of the season. Congratulations Tanner!
D FLIGHT WINNER-BEN BROWNE

Once again Ben and Tyler Martin were close until the last few holes with Ben holding on and winning. Ben is batting .500 this year with two wins out of four tournaments. Birdies and Pars didn’t come easy but Ben put up a score of Par on number 18 (one of the toughest holes and directly back into a 20 mph wind) to secure his second win of the early season!
Congratulations Ben!
