
The 2025 Golfweek Amateur Tour officially took to the Kingsmill Resort with the fourth tournament of the Tourwide Regional Series, The Virginia Regional. Members representing 16 local tours from across the country travelled to Williamsburg, Virginia to play Kingsmill Resort's Plantation and Signature River Course. Competition among the sell-out field of 188 participants did not disappoint and each of the five flight winners punched their ticket to the 2025 National Championship this October!
In the Championship Flight, Chris Greenfield (Tidewater, VA) claimed the title of the Virginia Regional with a two-day score of 154 (75-79) and a two shot victory over Luke Bohm (Chicago) who record rounds of (77-79). Mike Mitchell (Tidewater, VA) took home third place with a total of 162. Mike Hartselle (Tidewater, VA), followed closely with a score of 163, and Justin Osborn (Michigan), rounded out the rankings with a score of 164.
In the A Flight, Matthew Taylor (Richmond, VA) claimed the title of the Virginia Regional with a two-day score of 162 (81-81) and a Playoff victory over Marvin Bishop (Richmond, VA) who record rounds of (77-85). Mark Hanna (Tidewater, VA) took home third place with a total of 163. Dave Bumm (Tidewater, VA), followed closely with a score of 164, and rounding out the top 5 was Alton Smith (Tidewater, VA), Kevin Martin (Tidewater, VA), Andrew Haines (Tidewater, VA), with two day totals of 168.
In the B Flight, Lyle Joyner (Tidewater, VA) claimed the title of the Virginia Regional with a two-day score of 169 (81-88) and a one shot victory over Mike Hale (Tidewater, VA) who record rounds of (88-82). David Hotze (Tidewater, VA) took home third place with a total of 173. Rounding out the top 5 was Bob Nipp (Tidewater, VA), Garry Sutterfield (Tidewater, VA) with two day totals of 174.
In the C Flight, Tim Sayles (Tidewater, VA) claimed the title of the Virginia Regional with a two-day score of 175 (87-88) and a six shot victory over Nick Humbert (Tidewater, VA) who record rounds of (92-89). Ken DeLong (Michigan) and Dre Beaufort (Tidewater, VA) took home third place with a total of 183. Rounding out the top 5 was Kyle Duffy (Michigan), Richard Vincent (Tampa, FL), and Brian McLin (Tidewater, VA) with two day totals of 186.
In the D Flight, Edward Sitko (Tidewater, VA) claimed the title of the Virginia Regional with a two-day score of 179 (93-86) and a six shot victory over Jimmie Williams (Richmond, VA) who record rounds of (93-92). Jamall Garrett (Tidewater, VA) took home third place with a total of 188. Taking fourth place was Robert Benavides (Cincinnati/Dayton) with a two day total of 190. Rounding out the Top 5 was Mark Hazelwood (Tidewater, VA) with a two day total of 191.
